All Riders/Walkers: Check-In from 8-8:45pm                       Ride Kick-Off at 8:15pm

For the Parade:

You must have a helmet (if riding), headlight, tail light, and mask

  • Follow all traffic laws

  • Don’t forget to wear bright or light clothing 

  • Decorate your wheels before the ride! 

  • Maintain social distancing between groups

  • Consider purchasing extra environmentally friendly glow for all events like glow tape, wheel lights or LUMIs

  • Walkers will stay on the sidewalks

Registration

  • You must register in advance to join the parade

  • Includes headlight, tail light and 3 glow necklaces per person 

  • Deadline Wed, May 12 at 7pm

  • Register by Wed, May 5 for an extra glow necklace!

  • Suggested $5 donation to Sierra PTA per person to cover costs. Minimum $1 required.

  • Additional donations to Sierra PTA welcome!

  • Material pick-up Thurs, May 20 from 3:30-5pm

Prizes for Donations to

  • Top fundraising family can lead the parade or have the last ride

  • Top 8 fundraisers will receive a free pizza from Marco’s

  • $100+ donation reserves a place in one of the first groups of riders in one parade - great for younger families or those preferring a bit of daylight

  • $150+ donation reserves a place in one of the last groups of riders in one parade - full darkness for maximum glow effect

Parade Route

  • Starts and ends at Sierra parking lot

  • Choose your own group (up to 10 people)

  • Check-In starts at 8pm, timed release of each group from the parking lot begins at 8:15pm

Multiple Route Options: 

  • Small loop 0.75 miles west of the school

  • Large loop 1.5 miles east of the school

  • Combined 2 miles (large then small loop)

When you're done with your ride, keep the party going with the endless loop in the parking lot!

Prior to the Sierra Cruiser events, please review this bike safety video with your child.  In addition to covering many important topics, it includes special considerations for riding at night and comes recommended by Officer Gordon Beesley of Arvada Police Department

Not interested in riding, why not volunteer? 
 

For those of you who are volunteering as crossing guards, please watch this video for a step-by-step guide.  It also comes recommended by Officer Beesley and is compliant with Colorado practices.
